Minutes ago I run windows update. I always run the updates for my computer on a regular basis. There was no problem until today. I get this annoying message that "You may be a victim of counterfeiting". This translates that my copy of microsoft windows is not genuine. Come on, I purchased this copy of windows validly. And why after this long, does this annoying message show up. It is so annoying, so time consuming that it appears the moment i turn my pc and every now and then that the pc is running. I can't remove this message which is like slapping me in the face telling me I'm a thief!
I read an article that there were cases wherein the microsoft validation tool failed in validating licensed and valid keys. Some users had to try the validation over again and it was only at the third or so time that their copies were acknowledged as valid.
I don't know what to do for now. Since i also plan to reformat my pc then I might as well endure this annoying message for some days.
