Best Webhosting Company

It feels good to have a blog where you can write about almost everything. It's like a diary but made available to everyone, sort of a public diary. A lot of people have started blogs of their own, just like me. Some consider to use blogspot, others use wordpress and some other blog providers. But there is really no security in getting a free blog. It's a subdomain. It's not yours. You don't have full control over it. Your blog may run for days, months or years, but at the end of the day you do not really own. The blog provider can take it away and all the hard work will be gone. I know this myself because I've been in the same situation. That's why if you have the financial means to get your own domain get one!

I was reading Kaushal's site today and he wrote an article about the best web hosting company. He listed three webhosting company namely Host Monster,Host Gator , and Yahoo Host. You can refer to his post if you need some webhosting advice. Not only that you can also find a lot of templates in his site, so if you need some templates and webhosting help better visit his site.

Domain Registration

Eager to get your own domain? I am eager to get my own domain too. I want to pay less for a domain. Money is hard to earn so I'd like to spend the slightest amount on my personal domain. I'm still using blogger's free domain. I'd like to get a "dot com" (.com) domain. "Dot net" is also good but I've read that "dot com" a top level domain is the highest level category of internet names, which means its on top "dot net".

I'm still weighing the advantages of using .com instead of .net. I will have to take my time before I really decide to register domain of my own. I consider a lot of providers, one is PayLess Domains. It's based in Australia. They offer $11.95 a year for .com domains. It's within my budget so am taking it as an option. Besides it's really cheap.

Getting you own domain is important for bloggers like me but it's more important for those who have businesses online. The internet is so extensive in coverage. A good owned domain will help any business online in terms of customer reach, sales or leads. Besides a customer would likely put their trust on a dot com or dot net than a free domain. So if you have a business online, its advisable that you get your own domain.

Do You Want Polls For Your Website

As a blogger I want my blog to be simple and at times I want it to look as fancy as it could look. But with this blog I originally wanted it to have nothing in except the posts some blogroll of friends, a good big clock and nothing more. But then I have seen lots of websites big and small having lots of fancy design going on with their sites. And so I’m persuaded to add something of interest to my site. But this time I want to add Polls. Polls are good way to interact with your readers. Polls are online surveys that can enhance your site and your reader’s experience. There’s Easy Poll providing accurate and stable polls for any website. Signing up takes only about two minutes of your time. The best of all it’s free, easy to apply and everything’s ready. You don’t need special IT knowledge or support to set up your own online survey. So I’ll be pasting my own survey soon enough. Do participate! If you want polls for your website just visit Easy Poll dot com!

A Newbie's Guide to WebHosting

Last month, if I'm not mistaken a new friend who happens to be very new to blogging approached me about webhosting. Although I know a little about this stuff I can't satisfactorily answer all his questions. Gladly enough, I recalled Web Hosting Choice. This is one of the websites I turned to when I was still new to blogging. It's a guide for webmasters' in choosing the right web host for both personal and business purposes. This site has a searchable directory which I am recommending to everyone if you are in search of web hosting plans.

Newbies will find this site definitely helpful. Every concept is explained in a concise yet comprehensible language. Newbies can also make use of their Quick Web Host search where they can input their specifications and find the webhosting service that matches it!

Billy On Blogging and Studies

Since Vacation is over and School is back, student bloggers will definitely have a hard time once again balancing blogging and schooling. It's hard to stop refrain from facing your computer when your heart just tells you to open it and get your fingers hitting the keyboard. If you love blogging, its hard to stay away from it. Sometimes it could cause you to neglect your studies which is bad. Because in every way you look at it, school should be a priority.

Your love for blogging should not be an impediment to your studies. If it starts to cause you to not study or fail to do your assignments, you are in serious trouble and you need a lot of discipline on yourself. Blogging can be addicting and the internet can turn into an obsession. You need to have focus. You need to set your priorities. If setting a time schedule for studies and blogging will be helpful to you then do it. If you'd rather take control of your time without fix schedules then its fine as long as you can stick with it. Blogging and internet hopping should be done only during leisure time. It all boils down to one thing, self discipline and you alone can nurture this trait within yourself!

Guide to Web Hosting

If you are new to blogging, I presume you know little or nothing at all about webhosting. If you use blogger or wordpress there’s really no problem. But what if you want to host your blog and get your own paid domain, where will you run to considering your little knowledge about webhosting? Okay, you don’t have to vex. Here’s what you need to do. Go to http://www.webhostingchoice.com, an advertisement free guide to choosing the right web host for your personal or business site. Let me emphasize it again “advertisement free guide to web hosting”. It’s there to help you in making the right decision when it comes to webhosting.

The other unique features of this site are the directory on web hosting plans, and wherein there is not even a dime charge for a listing, and an education area about web hosting where you satisfy you ignorance about webhosting. Web Hosting Choice is definitely a useful resource for bloggers and website owners. I highly recommend it!

Should I Put Ads on This Blog?

As you notice i have a bidvertiser ads just on top of my posts. There is no other ads you find in this site, not a single one, not even adsense or whatever. This blog has a page rank of 4 and when I used a tool online to determine the link price for this blog I was amazed to see it has a high value. Maybe because there are not many outgoing links for this blog and yet this blog has more inbound links. Perhaps this answers the matter. I love seeing a high PR in my sidebar. I have a goal to reach now that is make this blog a PR5 in the next update. But will putting ads in my blog cause the reduction o f my PR? By putting ads, I mean putting advertisements like adsense, bidvertiser and reviews. A lot of websites have been punished for making reviews and that scares me. But what if the reviews are only minimal, say 2% of the entire number of posts in a blog? The blogger can choose to review sites or programs or products he deems worthy to be talked about, right? I don't think that is even a question. Bloggers have control over their sites, of course too much of everything is not good. So bloggers should always maintain a balance between commissioned posts and non commissioned posts.

At this moment I am thinking of how much will advertisers pay for a link at my sidebar that will stay in this blog for as long as this blog exists. Will there ever advertisers who will get interested in a PR-4 blog? I don't know! Aaaaah! Help me decide!
