Technology and the Poor

Those who live life in luxury do not fully understand how it is to wash clothes. They haven't even tried washing their own clothes I suppose. For the not so financially blessed and those who belong to the lower class in the hierarchy of society, washing their own clothes and even clothes of other people is a not so uncommon phenomenon. Some people choose to wash clothes by hand and some employ the help of technology to make washing clothes way easier. I'm talking of washing machines, which by the way is reviewed and rated at wize dot com. These days, washing machines are not that expensive anymore, perhaps due to the competition in the market. Poverty is a valid excuse for some people who can't eat 3 times a day how much more buy a washing machine and pay for the electric bills. That's why I have come to ask myself "who is benefited by today's technology, like washing machines for instance?" It's still mostly the rich who gets all the latest technological innovations. I hope for that time when the poor people will get to use the latest gadgets to make their lives a lot easier.
